New LPD: 5 additional positions from July 2022

13.07.2021

In 2019, the Federal Council authorized the creation of 3 positions in the PFPDT with a view to the entry into force of the new data protection law (LPD), scheduled for the second half of 2022. These positions were filled in the 'interval. The Federal Council has now authorized the creation of 5 more posts. If the Federal Parliament approves this increase in the workforce when it adopts in December 2021 the federal decree concerning the budget for the year 2022, the PFPDT will be able to put these 5 positions up for competition from July 1, 2022.

With the creation of these five additional posts, the PFPDT will make every effort to fulfill its expanded tasks and powers, in particular the new obligation incumbent on it to deal with all individual complaints which are not "of little importance".
